PSP vs GP2X

I’ve been considering recently on whether I should shell out for a GP2X. I’ve always liked tinkering with graphics programming and making my own applications for portable devices. I used to do this for the PSP but Sony cockblocks developers to take advantage of its great device. This pisses me off to no end. The potential is great. Emulation, home brews, etc. That’s where the GP2X comes in. These are a few sources I’ve used for comparison. One of the things I hate is the fact that the GP2X has no sleep function - so I have to wait for the bootup everytime I start it up, unlike the PSP, where I just hit the switch, and it’s ready to go. I can get used to this I guess.
